The Macminder system is an unattended method of
monitoring vehicle ride performance and track conditions
on board in-service trains eliminating the need for
Track Possession. The system records ride comfort in
different vehicles simultaneously, allowing comparisons
of up to 16 journeys or vehicles. The system is designed
to ISO2631 Draft 5 standard.
Each unit is small enough to be placed out of sight on
an in-service train and is capable of recording up to
three channels of vibration data:- Vertical, Lateral and
Longitudinal. A tacho signal from the vehicle can be fed
to an "L" model Macminder for logging of speed and
distance.
Data can be stored for up to 24 hours then downloaded to
a PC using VTAS software, where it can then
be analysed in either time or distance modes. Special
annotation overlays and reporting can be applied to
provide instantaneous results.
Features:
- Unattended monitoring of Vertical, Lateral, Longitudinal and Speed inputs for up to 24 hours
- Fully integrated "one box" system including own battery supply
- Easy "Start / Stop / Download" of data using Metrum VTAS software
- Instantaneous exceedence logging for major fault diagnosis
- Easy to install and use
- All data stored and processed to conform to ISO 2631
standards
